This website is an example of a project that some of my German classes complete. They invite Platten Erich home for a weekend and record their activities with him by photographing or video taping their time together and then presenting it in class, naturally auf deutsch.
By having Eric accompany me to northern Germany, I want my students to see how fun and simple it is to complete this project. He’s a great traveller: very amenable, argues only seldom, likes most animals, sleeps anywhere and at any time, and he loves adventures. Like me, he’s a vegetarian, so no sausage for us, but we’ll do alright. Eric is more of a couch potato (Couchkartoffel) than I am, so, I’ll be jogging without him, so I can keep from packing on the Kilos with German Backwaren every day.
